What Motivates You


Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. Whether it is our emotional, social, or cognitive forces that activate our actions, it is important to keep momentum in order to reach our final destination.


As you continue to grow and mature in life, your motivation may be influenced by various internal and external factors. Presently, as I find myself taking care of my family including my elderly father; my motivation and focus are driven by numerous elements. I am starting to get out of my comfort zone and take chances in order to reach my ultimate potential in all areas of my life. Reflecting on my late mother’s teachings keeps me encouraged through the difficult days. Furthermore, I realize that without taking care of my physical, emotional, and mental wellness; I will not be able to fulfill my desires and help others along the way.


Life is definitely not an easy road, but you must remember the people who matter to you, your circumstances and aspirations in order to keep moving in the right direction.


What motivates you? Take a moment to truly reflect on the question and write down all of the factors that inspire you to think, plan, and act. No matter what comes your way, keep going and never quit.
